It was created within the scope of the administrative reorganization of Lisbon in 2012, which came into effect after the municipal elections of 2013, resulting from the full aggregation of the former parishes of Lapa, Prazeres and Santos-o-Velho.

The name of this neighborhood means "Royal Prince" in honor of Queen Maria II's first born. It's located at north of Bairro Alto. In the pass it was only know for its antique shops and gay bars. Now it'slowly becoming a serious shopping area but, it remains essentially a residential district, filled with gardens, city's most tranquil squares, and colorful buildings.

Nacional Palace of Queluz

It is a 18th century palace located in the city of Queluz in the municip of Sintra, Lisbon district. One of the last large rococo-style buildings erected in Europe, the palace was built as a summer house for D. Pedro de Bragança, who later became the husband and king consort of his niece, Queen Maria I of Portugal . It served as a discreet place of imprisonment for the queen D. Maria I while her madness continued to worsen after the death of D. Pedro in 1786. After the fire that struck Ajuda Palace in 1794, the Palace of Queluz became the the official residence of the Portuguese prince regent, the future D. João VI, and his family. It stayed like this until the flight of the royal family to Brazil in 1807, due to the French invasion of Portugal. Alcântara, Lisbon, Portugal

Belongs to the western zone of the capital. Its name cames from the Arabic al-qantara, which means "bridge". This was the name of the bridge that crossed the stream in this area, which ended up being called the river of Alcântara. From early on, in the territory that today forms the parish of Alcântara appeared signs of human occupation. Some chipped stone tools were found on the banks of the Alcântara stream dating from the Palaeolithic era. On 25 August 1580, the Battle of Alcantara took place between the troops of Antonio, Prior of Crato and those of Philip II of Spain. In the first half of the nineteenth century there were some important events in Alcântara. One of them was the stay of General Junot in 1807 during the French Invasions. Navy Museum, Lisbon, Portugal

Located in the parish of Santa Maria de Belém, more precisely in the west wing of the Jeronimos Monastery.  Annually receives more than 145,000 visitors. Being the second most visited of the country.  The Museum dates back from 1863, when king D. Luís decreed the constitution of a collection of testimonies related to the Portuguese maritime activity. The museum includes Galeotas Pavilion which houses the royal ships, such as the Brigantine, built in 1780, and last sailed in 1957, on the occasion of the official visit of Queen Elizabeth II of England to Portugal.

Casino do Estoril

Located in Estoril this casino stays about 18km from Lisbon. Its the biggest casino in Europe manage by the company Estoril-Sol SGPS S.A.. Its opening was in 1931. Founded by Fausto de Figueiredo. This casino started to be explored by José Teodoro dos Santos in 1958.  During World War II, Portugal was a neutral country. Casino do Estoril became a place frequented by spies and exiles, including members of some deposed royal families. This casino served as a setting for the movie Casino Royale-James Bond for its grandeur.
