Casino do Estoril

Located in Estoril this casino stays about 18km from Lisbon. Its the biggest casino in Europe manage by the company Estoril-Sol SGPS S.A..

Its opening was in 1931. Founded by Fausto de Figueiredo. This casino started to be explored by José Teodoro dos Santos in 1958. 

During World War II, Portugal was a neutral country. Casino do Estoril became a place frequented by spies and exiles, including members of some deposed royal families.

This casino served as a setting for the movie Casino Royale-James Bond for its grandeur.
